Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Qito. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Important notice: Qito provides AI-generated document templates and employment law guidance. It does not provide legal advice. Nothing generated by Qito constitutes legal advice, and Qito should not be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified UK employment solicitor.
1. Who we are
Qito is operated by Qito AI Ltd ("Qito", "we", "us", "our"). Our registered address and company details are available on request at hello@qito.io.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Qito platform at https://qito.io and all related applications and services (the "Service").
2. The Service — what Qito is and what it is not
Qito is a software platform that uses artificial intelligence to generate HR document templates, provide employment law information, analyse uploaded documents for ERA 2025 compliance, and monitor publicly available sources of UK employment law for changes.
Qito does not provide legal advice. All outputs from Qito — including generated documents, compliance scores, analysis results, chat responses, and law monitoring alerts — are AI-generated guidance only. They are not legal advice and do not create a solicitor-client relationship.
Documents generated by Qito are starting points built to the correct legal framework as understood at the time of generation. They should be reviewed by you — and for high-stakes situations, by a qualified UK employment solicitor — before use.
Qito makes no warranty that any document is suitable for your specific circumstances, that it will remain accurate as the law changes, or that using it will prevent tribunal claims or other legal proceedings.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind your organisation to these terms in order to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at hello@qito.io if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Each account is for use by a single organisation. You may not share your account with other organisations or resell access to the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Qito only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service to generate documents intended to deceive, defraud, or harm any person
- Attempt to circumvent any usage limits, security features, or access controls
- Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service in a way that exceeds normal usage
- Upload documents or content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
5. Document generation and AI outputs
When you generate a document using Qito, you understand and accept that:
- The document is generated by AI and reflects general UK employment law as understood at the time of generation
- The document may not be suitable for your specific circumstances without review and modification
- Qito cannot account for facts specific to your situation that you have not provided
- Employment law changes frequently — a document that was compliant when generated may require updating as the law changes
- Qito is not responsible for any outcome arising from use of a generated document in any employment dispute, tribunal claim, or legal proceeding
Every document generated by Qito carries a disclaimer notice. This notice is part of the document and should not be removed.
6. Subscription and payment
Qito offers a free tier with limited usage and paid subscription plans as described on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected.
All prices are exclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are given for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
7. Intellectual property
The Qito platform, its design, code, and all non-user-generated content are owned by Qito AI Ltd and protected by intellectual property law.
Documents you generate using Qito are yours. You own the output. We do not claim any ownership over documents you create using the Service.
You retain ownership of any documents you upload to Qito. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process those documents solely to provide the Service to you.
We do not use your documents or data to train AI models.
8. Data and privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
All data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt). UK GDPR applies. We can provide a data processing agreement (DPA) on request.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Qito is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific output will be accurate, complete, or fit for purpose
- We are not liable for any employment tribunal claim, legal proceeding, regulatory action, or other loss arising from your use of a document generated by Qito
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive losses
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Qito AI Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service in breach of these Terms
- Any document you use that was generated by Qito, including any employment dispute arising from that use
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party right
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at hello@qito.io.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a legal or reputational risk to us or third parties.
On termination, you may export your documents. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination before deletion, unless a longer period is required by law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept changes, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
